REVEAL YOUR INNATE WRITING ABILITY
Welcome! If YoU're Here, You're a writer.
If you've ever used paper, pen, or pencil, you have everything it takes to be a writer. If you've ever typed an email, text, or even a tweet, you're a writer.
Somewhere along the way, the title "writer" was given to the few, and taken from the rest of us. It is time to take it back!
Whether you want to write fiction, nonfiction, fantasy, sci-fi, memoir, an article, journal entry, opinion piece, or something else, you've come to the right place.
Whether you want to write for yourself, for someone else, or for everyone else, you've come to the right place.
Everyone is welcome here, and everyone is indeed a writer.

ABOUT ME
Hi, Thanks for stopping by. I’m Claire Sheridan. Do you struggle calling yourself a writer? Once upon a time (not so very long ago), that was me. Fortunately, I stumbled into a supportive and nourishing creative writing group where I found encouragement for my words. 20 years working with crime victims and offenders have given me a deep well from which to draw inspiration for my stories. What I really want to know now is: What’s your story?

Having re-discovered creative writing through an Amherst Writers & Artists (AWA) group, I knew I needed to help spread the magic that happens when a group of writers comes together using the AWA Methods. As a certified AWA facilitator, I participate in and lead multiple AWA writing groups weekly. I'd love to see you there.
Whenever possible, I prefer being outdoors. I'm a nomadic yoga enthusiast who enjoys long road trips. I've traversed the length and width of continental US by car more than a dozen times. I'm a hiker, mountain biker, swimmer, and an anything-involving-sunshine person.

I appreciate life’s finer things: good books, good food, good friends, playing in the dirt, and laughing (most often at myself).

I hope through our shared writing—if you haven't already done so—you'll reclaim your title: You are a writer.

I look forward to writing together.
